Pasta with Butternut Squash Sauce, Spicy Sausage, Baby Spinach and Sage

It seems like I’m forever talking about the weather on my posts, but doesn’t it make such a difference when the weather is “just right”?  What exactly do I mean by “just right”?  Well, here’s my version of “just right”.  Cool mornings, warm and sunny afternoons, beautiful evenings and nippy nights.  It seems like we’ve had a lot of that lately in our neck of the woods.  However, the down side?  The Fall hasn’t been as magnificent as in past years, that’s probably because we’re almost at the end of October, and we’re still experiencing summer temperatures.  But soon that will all change I’m sure.


The last of the summer desserts – Mango pudding

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any dessert recipes, so I wanted to end the summer with a mango pudding.  It’s still warm where we are, and this cool, refreshing dessert went down a treat.  It is  such a simple, yet amazing recipe – you can multi-task whilst making this luscious, creamy, tropical  pudding as there’s basically just 4 main ingredients.  I took some short cuts too, so this whole recipe came together in no time.  You can also use half the ingredients and make just four instead of eight.


A Night in White Satin

Each year Brandywine in White hosts a pop-up summer Gala.  This summer 2017 was the 5th anniversary; loved that  I’ve attended 3 of these fun events over the years.  In keeping things “secret,” they do not announce the location until 3 days prior to the event, it adds to the allure and mystery.  It is usually on a farm in the summer time, and happens no matter rain or shine.  The proceeds generally go to a charitable cause.
